Lana Del Rey, Boho headdress, 70’s Woodstock peace and love, just some of the things that come to mind when I think about this Rose Crown hair accessory. In this How To I’ll be showing you how to make your own without spending £10+. When I saw the picture on ASOS and studied it closely I said to myself “There’s no way in Gods green earth I’m paying that much for it! NARRRR MATE!”
What you need:
- 6 large Roses (or flowers, whatever you like)
- Felt (pref in the same colour as your roses)
- 1cm/12mm wide elastic (enough to put around your head)
- Glue gun with glue (duh)
99p store flowers ready to be plucked!
Make sure you happy with the length of your elastic and don’t forget when fitting the elastic around your head please stretch it a little coz it will stretch once you put it on. Once your happy with the circumference take your elastic and make a tight knot. Take your elastic and mark the center with chalk, just fold the elastic to find the center.
Take your flower off the stem, snip down the stem bit on the flower…
…glue it in place so it doesn’t fall apart…
…quickly while glue is still hot, place it on marked area…
…then take your small piece of felt and glue it up…
…and place it firmly on top of the elastic stem part.
Whilst cooling give it a little stretch to ease it on your head.
It would be wise to try it on and mark the next places where you want the roses to go otherwise when you mark and glue without trying it on it’ll look funny…
…when you’ll think it’ll look like this. Continue the try on, mark and glue until desired result.
I was thinking about leaves but I changed my mind but it’s up to you.
Good right? and cheap.
Which is better? Mine?…
…or ASOS? (don’t say Lana’s or ASOS) x
